Mr. and Mrs. M have two young daughters ages 3 and 6. Their girls are outgoing and enjoy playing with their dolls and getting outside; they lead a simple but happy life with their parents who are both deeply involved with their church. The M’s were a grounded family with their own hopes and routines, making their way towards their goals.
A few months ago their oldest daughter was diagnosed with cancer. The family has been dependent upon Mrs. M’s salary from her full-time job and Mr. M’s monthly disability to keep the family afloat. Since her daughter’s illness, Mrs. M has chosen to stay by her daughter’s side. In January their car broke down which has made it difficult to transport their daughter to medical treatments. The stress of a sick child and finances has been piling up, but it hasn’t shaken the family’s core.
These days, the M’s are still grounded. They continue to spend time with their church community, cherishing the simple things in life and continuing to raise their daughters to appreciate how precious time is.
With the assistance from Father Bills & Mainspring, the family has a plan to get back to their simple dream: “to be financially stable enough to provide for their children without any stress.” This way the M’s will be able to focus on their family time with two young children. They’ll be able to spend time with a very sick child. They’ll be able to return to their life of all the simplest but most important life moments.
The M’s have an $850 bridge to cross by May 29th in order to forestall eviction and return to their routines with those they love the most. What can we give for a return to simplicity?
