Father Bills & MainSpring has been moving people out of shelters and into homes since 1982 using an innovative Housing First strategy to end homelessness one life at a time.
Father Bills & MainSpring’s mission is to help people obtain a home by giving temporary shelter and food, finding safe and affordable housing, and providing permanent housing with supportive services. Father Bills & MainSpring helps people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, to achieve self-sufficiency.
Father Bills & MainSpring is committed to moving people out of temporary shelters and into a home of their own. They believe in the innovative Housing First approach to ending homelessness. On the South Shore, they have more than 200 units of supportive housing. They also own the only emergency shelter for teens and provide housing for victims of domestic violence.
Since their merger with MainSpring, Father Bill’s Place has employed the Housing First model for several years and is bringing this experience across Southeastern Massachusetts. They are in the process of adding more than 32 housing units for the men and women currently staying at MainSpring House.
